British Princess to visit Croatia

British Princess Anne will make an official visit to Croatia from 2 to 4 February at the invitation of President Stjepan Mesic. The princess, 58, will stop off in capital Zagreb and in Split, the second largest town in Croatia. Besides a meeting with Mesic, the princess' stay in Croatia will include a visit to an institution for therapeutic horseback riding close to Zagreb and to former Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito's Villa Dalmatia in Split.

This will be Princess Anne's third visit to Croatia. She visited the country in 1972 with Queen Elizabeth and stopped in Split in 1996 on her way to visit British troops in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
