The Polari camp site in Istria has received recognition in the Seaside Award category in the British Alan Rogers Campsite Guide 2008. The camp site is owned by the firm Maistra, which has six camps near Rovinj and Vrsar in Istria that can accommodate 22,500 guests daily. Some 2,000 European camp sites competed for the 2008 Alan Rogers awards. The main criteria for inclusion of a camp site in the guide is quality.
