Antun Plenkovic, the head of the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) office in Prague, told "Hina" news agency that this would remain the case this year despite the recession.
HTZ is participating in this year's Holiday World fair, the most-important tourism event of its kind in the Czech Republic that is being held from 5-8 February in Prague, with a 145-square-metre exhibition.
HTZ head Niko Bulic said at the fair's opening ceremony the Czech Republic had been one of the top five foreign markets for Croatian tourism for many years.
According to HTZ, 630,000 Czechs visited Croatia last year and accounted for 4.2 million overnights.
Czech Ministry of Tourism spokeswoman Jasna Fila, however, claimed more than one million Czechs had visited Croatia in 2008.
The fair will feature 870 exhibitors from 53 countries.
