The best Croatian camps, according to this year's testing of Croatian Automobile Club
According to the results of this year's testing of Croatian camps, carried out by Croatian Automobile Club, the best big camp is Strasko on Pag Island, a medium one iz Oaza Mira (Oasis of Peace) in Draga near Pakostane, and the best small camp is Palme from Kucista on Peljesac peninsula.
Zaton near Zadar, Politin on the island of Krk and Jasenovo from Zaboric near Sibenik, received special awards for continuous quality.
This traditional testing of camps was held in cooperation with the Croatian Camping Union and the Croatian Association of campers, in the period from 1st July to 24th August, and included 84 camps.
The results of this testing were presented at the last week's conference about camping, as part of the Days of Croatian Tourism in Sibenik , when it was concluded that Croatian camps show increasing quality from year to year, and camping makes 24 % of all overnight stays in Croatia.
The representatives of foreign auto clubs and camping associations highlighted increasing quality of Croatian camps, marking Croatia as important and one of the fastest growing destinations.
Among other camps that were placed on the second and third place at this year's testing are: Adriatic in Mokale on the Peljesac peninsula, Ulika in Rovinj, Vira on the island of Hvar , Kozarica in Pakostane, Solaris from Solaris resort near Sibenik and Bi-Village in Fazana.
The best nudist camp is Valalta in Rovinj and the best continental camp is Slapic in Duga Resa.
