The KovaÄ ÄŒarda is located in Suza in the heart of the Baranje region ten kilometers from the Hungarian border, ten kilometers from the Serbian border and 35 kilometers from Osijek. It is a fish restaurant with a wooden terrace with many stuffed fish heads and a dining room with a homestyle ambience with antiques. The restaurant is owned by Arpad Šipec, who is keeping alive the traditions of Baranje cooking, in particular the specialties made from freshwater fish.The restaurant is most proud of its famous fish paprikash, for which even Hungarians frequently come into Croatia. The restaurant has also won a Silver Kettle at an international competition in Kalocs in Hungary and a Gold Kettle in Mohacs. Arpad Šipec, Jr. is a two-time national champion for cooking fish paprikash (junior category). Tamburaši periodically play at the restaurant.
