Description:
Miljenko Smoje called it "Oštarija (the inn) to die with a smile," and a Swiss journalist, thanks to the restaurant's brilliant atmosphere and excellent food, nostalgically wrote that such places no longer exist in either Italy or Switzerland. Oštarija Bujan na Meja above Bakarski zaljev, is one of those cult places that, of course, has to be visited. The many newspaper articles and photographs of famous guests on its walls are proof of this. Oštarija Bujan has been in the same place since 1932. Already five generations of Bujans have carried on the "oštarića"tradition. In addition to the head Ivan-Ivić and his wife Dušica, their daughter Iva and son-in-law Igor are also working here.Oštarija Bujan is known for homemade food and huge portions. Your host will first offer you a special rakija. For an appetizer we recommend - Grobnik cheese with warm potatoes and olive oil. Then, homemade soup, lamb or veal pod pekom (baked under a lid) or ham hocks. At the end homemade strudel with ice cream.
